CONFIRMATION

Confirmation is a Catholic Sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts. It is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation for Catholics. It is most often associated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

For people who were baptized as infants, Confirmation is the final sacrament of initiation.  Once one has completed the reception of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation they are considered to be in full communion with the Catholic Church.  It is a rite of passage and a recognition of a certain level of maturity in one’s faith life.

Note:

CCD will follow public school schedule (if there is no public school on the day of the their CCD class, there is no CCD class that day) except for Ash Wednesday, where there is public school but there will be no CCD classes, but the office will remain open.

MARRIAGE

The Sacrament of Matrimony not only celebrates the love of husband and wife, but also the love of almighty God for His people. It is not only a pledge of fidelity made by the bride and groom to each other, but also a sacred time when they are reminded of God’s pledge of total and faithful love for them as they begin their new life together. The Sacrament is rightly called PUBLIC PRAYER.
